Trio Shaham Erez Wallfisch is made up of Hagai Shaham - violin, Arnon Erez - piano and Raphael Wallfisch - cello. All three musicians have flourishing solo and chamber music careers as well as their work with the trio. The trio will perform all of Beethoven's works for piano trio at the Wigmore Hall in London in 2020 as part of the celebration of the 250th anniversary of Beethoven's birth.
Beethoven's piano trios have been said to have transformed the repertoire available to this combination of instruments as well as announcing his own unique style of writing to the musical world. Our programme will feature works from different periods of Beethoven's compositional life.
