Tasmin Little violin and Martin Roscoe piano

Beethoven Sonata in A minor Op. 23
Fauré Sonata in A major
Schubert Fantasy in C

Superstar violinist Tasmin Little comes to Morpeth to perform an exciting programme with her frequent partner on the concert platform - pianist Martin Roscoe. Tasmin trained at the Yehudi Menuhin school and the Guildhall prior to beginning her solo career. She performs all over the world with leading orchestras and conductors. Tasmin and Martin have chosen to start with Beethoven’s fourth sonata for violin and piano, followed by the contrasting Fauré. The finale will be in an entirely different mood with Schubert’s ethereal Fantasy in C.

‘The inspired teaming of Tasmin Little and Martin Roscoe fully captures this elusive quality in glowing performance of the ravishing (Fauré) A major Sonata while retaining a Brahmsian dramatic grip that ensures the music is sent soaring aloft in all the right places.’ - The Strad 2015
